Helen Marie fell in love with mosaic art when first introduced to the medium in 2006 and has since pursued greater mastery of this art form — participating in workshops, working independently from her home studio, assisting with community art projects, establishing her business Cascade Mosaics, and joining the Society for American Mosaic Artists and Contemporary Mosaic Art (CMA2) community. She is captivated by the brilliant colors and wonderful versatility of mosaic tesserae and their endless possibilities for dimension and texture.

Helen's mosaic art is primarily inspired by her love for family and friends as well as her hometown of New Orleans. She has participated in many international workshops, giving her the opportunity to study and create in Costa Rica, Italy, Mexico, Spain, and beyond. Her work can be found in private collections in Atlanta, New Orleans, and Houston, and she has also shown work in local arts festivals in both Atlanta and New Orleans.
