CURRENT EXHIBITION

Spruill Gallery presents Material Poesy with works by Johanna Flores, Ato Ribeiro and Ivy Wu, on view September 24 – October 29.

Historically the word poesy is often used to reference titles for literary works. The term derives from the Greek word poiesis — the act of making or creation. Within the context of this exhibition, it describes the different materials and techniques Flores, Ribeiro, and Wu use to express poetic concepts.

Please join us for an opening reception on Friday, September 25 from 6-9 PM and an artists’ talk on Sunday, October 11 at 2 PM.
