Debanhi Romero (b. 2003) is a contemporary painter whose work relays her familial experience through the lens of immigration. Born in Atlanta and raised mostly in Mexico, her Mexican heritage is embedded throughout her work and transformed within her motifs, serving as a reminder of the anticipated existence that a cultural lineage grants.
Her creative work is acknowledged by contests such as MOCA GA’s LAA, and she shows her paintings at select fairs throughout Atlanta. Romero earned a BFA in Painting from Georgia State University in 2026.
